Google My Business is a user interface where business owners can add information about their business into the Google Maps system. In recent months, Google has been adding various features to this interface that allow businesses and consumers to upload posts and content related to the business.
One of these features is called “Posts,” which allows businesses to add current information that relates to their business. This makes a Google maps business listing a bit more like a Facebook page, in that it can have a content stream. Local business “Posts” expire after 7 days.
The newest feature Google added is the ability for business owners and consumers to upload videos to be associated with the business. Uploaded videos will display in the same area where local photos appear.
Business owners will have the ability to flag inappropriate videos through their dashboard, should they be uploaded by a consumer.
